Planning Application Submitted – School Extension Land
A planning application has been submitted for the school extension land located to the west of Berewood Primary School.
The site is identified within the approved outline masterplan as land to accommodate the extension of the primary school, should it be necessary. Recent conversations with Hampshire County Council Education have confirmed that the Northern Primary School Extension Land will not be required for use by the school and as such, Grainger Plc now seeks to progress residential development on the land.
The proposal comprises 27 dwelling houses comprising a mix of two and three-bed units. Access to the site is proposed to be via Nicholson Way.
The residential layout has been designed to enable pedestrian access through to the River Wallington Community Nature reserve to the north and facilitate access to the wider footpath network. The linear route through the site allows for planting which will create an avenue of trees, providing both an attractive landscape setting and a continuous ecological corridor.
We (Grainger Plc) have worked closely with Berewood Primary School to ensure minimal disruption to pupils, and that the layout meets their approval.
