Shared Ownership at Berewood

What is Shared Ownership?

Help to Buy: Shared Ownership is a government-backed scheme which helps first time buyers or people returning to home-ownership, take their first steps onto the property ladder.

Shared Ownership offers you the chance to buy a share of your home (between 40% and 75% of the home’s value) and pay rent on the remaining share. Later on, you could buy bigger shares when you can afford to.

You could buy a Shared Ownership home at Berewood if:

your household earns £80,000 a year or less
you are a first-time buyer, you used to own a home but can’t afford to buy one now or are an existing shared owner looking to move

At Berewood our Shared Ownership properties are delivered by Grainger Trust, a subsidiary of Grainger Plc.

Grainger Trust is a Registered Provider of affordable housing which is regulated by Homes England. The team work directly with housing developers to ensure that customers can obtain properties they are proud to call home at a price they can afford.

All Grainger Trust homes come with a National House Building Council (NHBC) warranty or equivalent.
