Road surface improvements

Road surface improvements from 8th of September until mid-December

As part of the ongoing efforts to improve the road surface and eventual handover to Hampshire County Council, Na4a Building Company have been contracted to carry out the necessary repairs and replacements to facilitate the final surfacing of the roads and footpaths along Newlands Avenue and Marrelsmoor Avenue (Areas highlighted in this PDF  250918 NATTA Letter to Phase 2 and 13 Residents)

The repair and improvement works will involve replacing and repairing surface water gullies, raising ironworks, replacing broken and damaged kerb stones, and the eventual installation of the final road surface.

The works are planned in stages to minimise disruption as far as possible. The majority of the works will be carried out by closing a single lane section of the road, ensuring traffic flow is maintained passed the works at all times.

A series of full road closures will also be required to allow for additional surface water gullies to be installed as well as for the final surfacing to be laid. Prior to this event, additional communication will be sent out and clear diversion routes sign posted, with provisions made for emergency vehicles should the need arise.

The working hours will be 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday, with the works expected to start from the 8th of September and completed mid-December. Emergency contact information is supplied below should you have any concerns during the works:
