At a time of unprecedented change and new challenges, it is more important than ever for the County Council to stay in touch with the views of local residents. The Council are recruiting a diverse group of people over the age of 18 who would like to share their views on council services and the local area to inform future decisions. Newlands Parish Profile

Community team members from Winchester City Council, Havant Borough Council, Newlands Parish Council and Grainger Plc have come together to start work on a Community Plan for Berewood and Wellington Park developments. Both areas are covered by Newlands Parish Council, and as part of the process a Parish Profile has been created, containing a wide range of information about the area. This profile will be regularly updated as the developments and local area evolve, and will help to guide and shape the Community Plan. Nature Reserve application submitted

An application to create a community nature reserve at Berewood has been submitted to Winchester City Council’s planning team. Part of the 250 acres of green space across the site, the nature reserve will run along the western edge of the development and include children’s play areas, a dog agility area, and many ecological improvements. The application also includes the southern allotments, one of two allotment sites on the development, which will be for resident use and managed by Newlands Parish Council.
