Flick Drummond MP Site Visit

On 18th June, Meon Valley MP Flick Drummond visited Berewood to find out more about the development and how we are working hard ensure the site is as environmentally friendly as possible. Flick was told how the site is nitrate neutral so that construction does not lead to environmental pollution, about our sustainable drainage which allows surface water to filter naturally into the ground and how the drainage ditches are providing a home for wildlife. “I was very impressed to hear of the environmental credentials of this major development near Waterlooville and some of the other amenities too,” said Flick.

New Amphibian Arrivals

As we all know new residents are moving into Berewood all the time; but this June some rather unexpected new arrivals have been recorded in the SUDS ponds on site. First alerted by landscape contractors working along the River Wallington to strange loud calls coming from the vegetation around one of the SUDS ponds, it didn’t take long before the identity of the creatures was resolved – a group of marsh frogs!
