Notice of upcoming road works which will involve a staggered night-time closure of access for Grainger Street, Marrelsmoor Avenue, Darnley Lane, and Plant Farm Crescent. Access will still be possible to all homes via signed/manned diversion routes. Tuesday 24th – Friday 27th May Night works and closures in place from 6pm – 5am Please can we request that you do not leave your car in the marked bays along Marrelsmoor Avenue during this period. Great Crested Newt Monitoring
We are lucky to have Great Crested Newts in the various ponds around the site. As they are a protected species we keep a close eye on them to ensure they are kept safe away from any construction work that may be happening nearby. The black plastic fencing around several of the pond areas is designed to keep the newts safe and stop them from wandering too far away. Supporting Job Centre Staff with Site Visits
Staff from the local Job Centres were given a guided tour of Elm Green, a Redrow site at Berewood last week. From the welfare areas to the finished product, they were shown what it’s really like to work on site and bust some of the myths around working in construction. By inviting the staff on site to get a positive view of the working conditions and opportunities available, they will be better equipped to advise their clients and help tackle the industry skills shortage. With just under half of Berewood complete, there are still plenty of job and apprenticeship opportunities

Notice of Kentidge Way closure
Advance notice of road closure to apply the final surface to Kentidge Way. Kentidge Way CLOSED Mon 11th – Sunday 24th April. Signposted diversion routes will be in place. Newlands Community Hall car park will be open for anyone who would usually access either the school or car park opposite. Sunflowers for Ukraine
Residents at Berewood are showing their support for Ukraine by growing sunflowers, the country’s national flower. One kind family are offering seeds in exchange for a donation to British-Ukrainian Aid, and are encouraging as many households as possible to grow sunflowers to show their support and make Berewood look even brighter this summer. Seeds are available for a donation here.
